Importance of leaving a will before death

Ayah 182 of Chapter 2 of the Holy Quran states:

It is prescribed when death approaches any of you, if he leaves any goods, that he makes a bequest to parents and next of kin According to reasonable usage; this is due from the God-fearing. (180) If anyone changes the bequest after hearing it, the guilt shall be on those who make the change. For Allah hears and knows (all things). (181) But if anyone fears partiality or wrong-doing on the part of the testator, and brings about a settlement among (the parties concerned) there is no wrong in him; for Allah is Oft-Forgiving Most Merciful. (182)

Those who destroy Mosques

Image

Ayah 114 of Chapter 2 of the Holy Quran states as follows:

114. And who is more unjust than those who forbid that Allah’s Name be glorified and mentioned much (i.e. prayers and invocations, etc.) in Allah’s Mosques and strive for their ruin? It was not fitting that such should themselves enter them (Allah’s Mosques) except in fear. For them there is disgrace in this world, and they will have a great torment in the Hereafter.

Dispute between Christians and Jews

Ayah 113 of  Chapter 2 of the Holy Quran states as follows:

And the Jews say the Christians follow nothing (true), and the Christians say the Jews follow nothing (true); yet both are readers of the Scripture. Even thus speak those who know not. Allah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that wherein they differ. (113)

Mention of Hazrat Moosa (Moses) and Hazrat Isaa ( Jesus) in the Holy Quran

Most non-Muslims I have met are under the false impression that we do not believe in Hazat Moosa (Moses) or Hazrat Isa ( Jesus). Muslims infact believe in all Prophets including Moses and Jesus. The only difference between our faith and others is that we believe that Hazrat Muhammad (May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) closed the line of Prophets. He was the last Prophet to come to any nation on earth and completed the religion of Moses and Isa.

In Ayah 87 of Chapter 2 of the Holy Quran, Allah tells us that He gave Hazrat Moosa (Moses) the Scriptures and then after him he sent other messengers. Allah then mentions Hazrat Isaa ( Jesus), the son of Mariam ( Mary) and states He gave Hazrat Isa (Jesus) clear signs and strengthened him with the Holy Spirit. However, Allah then refers to the Banni Israel clan and asks them whether they will scorn each Apostle, whose message is not as per their convenience, and become arrogant and kill some of these messengers?

Relevant Translation below:

And verily We gave unto Moses the Scripture and We caused a train of messengers to follow after him, and We gave unto Jesus, son of Mary, clear proofs (of Allah’s sovereignty), and We supported him with the Holy spirit. Is it ever so, that, when there cometh unto you a messenger (from Allah) with that which ye yourselves desire not, ye grow arrogant and some ye disbelieve and some ye slay? (87)

Illiterate men twisting Religion

In Ayahs 78 and 79 of Chapter 2 of the Holy Quran, Allah tells us about the ignorant and illiterate men of the Israelite clan who have no knowledge of religion except for the lies and vague ideas that they have created in their own minds. Such people wrongly write the scriptures from their own hands and then falsely declare that the scripture is from Allah, in order to reap materialistic worldly gains.  The Ayah ends with Allah telling us that only misfortune is for such people because what they have used their hands to do and because of whatever material gain they will receive.

Thing is this is not a problem of the past- this is a recurring problem of the present too- Priests, Imams, Healers, Scholars and even the average Joe twists religion to suit his/her tastes. There have been many versions of some religious scriptures and clearly man has behind these amendments for ulterior motives.

May Allah always makes us focused and clear headed to stick to the word of the Quran and the authentic Ahadith. Ameen.

Relevant Translation below:

Among them are unlettered folk who know the Scripture not except from hearsay. They but guess. (78) Therefore woe be unto those who write the Scripture with their hands and then say, “This is from Allah,” that they may purchase a small gain therewith. Woe unto them for that their hands have written, and woe unto them for that they earn thereby. (79)

The path the Stones take..

Image

Ayah 74. Then, after that, your hearts were hardened and became as stones or even worse in hardness. And indeed, there are stones out of which rivers gush forth, and indeed, there are of them (stones) which split asunder so that water flows from them, and indeed, there are of them (stones) which fall down for fear of Allah. And Allah is not unaware of what you do.

From Chapter 2 ( Sura Baqara) of the Holy Quran.

Would you know it? The Quran talks to the Jews, Christians and the Sabeans.

Most people assume that the Quran is a book written by Allah for the Muslims. It is here, where they are wrong. The Quran has been written for all mankind and is a book of guidance for every man walking on this planet earth. In Surah 62 of Chaper 2 of the Holy Quran, Allah refers to the Jews, Christians and Sabians and says that if anyone belonging to these three religions believes in One God- Allah and the existence of the last day of Judgment, and performs righteous and good deeds, such a person will be InshaAllah rewarded by Allah and has nothing to fear or regret.

I encourage everybody to pick a copy of the Quran and go through it. The media generally passes on misconceptions about Islam, which can only be cleared once you do a read through yourself of this magnificent book. :)

Relevant Translation below:

62. Verily! Those who believe and those who are Jews and Christians, and Sabians, whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day and do righteous good deeds shall have their reward with their Lord, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.
